Nautilus CCFX2

The newest addition to the Nautilus family is the CCF-X2. The multiple award winning dual action CCF-X2 drag system features twice the drag strength (20lbs+), twice the smoothness and half the startup inertia as the former CCF.

The CCF-X2 is featured in 4 sizes – the 6/8, 8/10, 10/12 and Silver King. All reels feature the made-for-fish fighting, big game handle and are fully sealed using our proprietary Activseal technology. Other components included in the CCF-X2 line are hybrid ceramic bearings, TPX bushings and an oversized drag knob to adjust the smoothest drag from zero to max in 6 full turns with our Infinajust system.

The 6/8 is a 4-inch large arbor 6-8 weight reel. For more line pick up, the 8/10 is a great 8 weight with almost 12 inches of line pick up with a WF8 line per turn of the handle. The 4.5-inch 8/10 and 10/12 reels share the same frame and the spools can be interchanged for a set up that covers 8 to 12 weight lines with just an extra spool.

The Silver King is the latest addition to the CCF-X2 line and is the world’s lightest 5-inch diameter true big game reel on the market. This dominator of all things silver picks up 14-inches of line per turn of the handle and will reel in your prize like none other.

In addition, this reel is fully sealed and loaded with hybrid ceramic bearings, TPX bushings and an oversized drag knob with Infinadjust range settings.

SPEY: We have always closely followed the evolution and growth of Spey fishing, and we now have yet another first for the fly fishing world: The Speyrings. As in every reel we design, we look to the past to make sure we don’t get stuck in it. The Spey world started to look back at full frame reels when they began using thinner running lines (0.025 diameter and less) as these full frames prevented the lines from slipping out of the frame. The problem we saw with full frame reels was the tremendous additional weight that required consumers to purchase dedicated reels for their Spey adventures (or fish thicker running lines over .030-inch diameter). Problem: Money and weight.

Our foresight in 2008 led to our Spey-specific spools for the NV line of reels, designed to prevent thin lines from slipping out and to lower the cost without adding much weight. Instead of purchasing a reel, all you needed was a Spey spool for your 8, 10 or 12 weight reel.

As the years passed and the market embraced this new concept, we kept thinking forward and now have a great solution that we are introducing with the Silver King: the Speyrings.

The Speyrings are four little rings that snap on the frame in key spots of the reel in mere seconds and close the frame/spool gap to 0.003-inch to barely let light through. Now we solved it all: running lines don’t slip out, and it costs nothing more while performing flawlessly. And you don’t have to purchase an entirely separate setup for your Spey or salt trip.

One reel fits all and dominates all while outperforming all others: The Silver King.

We’ve used this workhorse surf fishing in So Cal, light Steelheading in Oregon, chucking nasty streamers to ravenous browns in Montana, and stalking bones on the flats in Belize.

The 4 Plus bridges the gap in size and weight between the 3 and 5 plus models. If you’re looking for the perfect reel for your 9′ 5 weight rod then look no further.
Lamson ARX
Lamson ARX
Our Price: $439.00

Arx is a reel built with purpose; Spey or switch casting a variety of lines with maximum line control and reliability. The continuing evolution of Spey and Scandi lines, shooting heads, flat mono, etc. demand a reel that can help prevent line snags while retaining the high performance you’ve come to expect from Waterworks Lamson. Arx has a full cage frame that encapsulates the spool to prevent line from escaping or snagging in critical areas. Normally a configuration like this would do a good job at preventing line fouling, but would preclude palming the reel.  Arx is carefully milled on the bottom third of the reel to expose a functional palming section. Even the drag knob has been designed to provide optimal grip without exposing a portion of the reel to line fouling.
Hatch 3 Plus
Hatch 3 Plus
Our Price: $400.00

The 3 Plus is capable of running 3–5 weight lines with ample backing capacity for the occasional whopper that might come along. At first glance you’ll notice this ain’t no dainty trout reel. This little wonder means business.
Hatch 1 Plus
Hatch 1 Plus
Our Price: $350.00

We’re talking small. You might even use one of these as a key chain. We had never considered a reel of this size since we very rarely fish with 0–2 weight rods. However, our minds changed when we had so many requests. How could we refuse?
Lamson Litespeed Series IV
Lamson Litespeed Series IV
Our Price: $339.00

2014 is Litespeed re-loaded.  For years an iconic ultra-large arbor reel, Litespeed has now been refined for even higher retrieve rate, improved ergonomics, easier line management and less mass. Everything that was achieved in Gen 3 LS has been pushed farther. Narrower drag geometry has translated into a flatter spool surface for less knuckle dragging. A more aggressive drag knob has been made . . . well, more aggressive. Structural refinements such as the curved arbor have made a light reel even lighter, and this curved arbor (which we introduced in 1998) stores backing into a “diameter well” and keeps “working line” at a maximum radius to optimize everything we love about large arbor reels.

Most notably, the spool/stripping arm geometry that was introduced on the very earliest Litespeeds has been changed to make it consistent with our newer reels, which do a better job of preventing snags and line damage. Still a close second to a Force SL in trout sizes, the Litespeed is the reliable thoroughbred of the Lamson line.

Nautilus® X-Series

The Nautilus X-Series is an open-frame reel designed for lightness, strength, drag smoothness, and fast line pick up. The X-Series design has strong beams that extend from the center to a wide line guard. These angles allow for rear spool rim protection where the reel typically contacts the ground when the rod is leaned up against a wall or a car.

The totally new SCF-X drag is a sealed Teflon® and carbon fiber disc drag system. It is adjusted with a generous drag knob that offers superior gripping surface and texture for wet and cold fingers.

DESIGNED FOR LIGHTNESS, STRENGTH, SMOOTHNESS & SPEED

The highly ventilated arch design, coupled with the dual palming rim increases spool strength by 35 %. The sides of the frame leave the spool totally exposed, and the back spool rim has a generous 1/8" secondary palming rim for added fish control. This heavy- duty secondary palming rim has the strength to withstand everyday wear and tear.

The spool is a new spin on our ultra light, award winning Giga arbor design. It is lighter than any spool of a similar size we have ever made.

Available in three frame sizes: XS - 3.25” Diameter, 3.8 oz, XM - 3.5” diameter, 4.1 oz,  and a 4” frame XL that will accept the standard XL Giga arbor spool for a 6/7 weight and the XL MAX Giga arbor spool that will fit an 8/9 weight line. At a mere 4.7 ounces the XL and XL MAX will handle your larger fresh water species and light salt water needs perfectly.

Available in brushed titanium or black anodizing.
